The bean bag – head stack – challenge video release

To share a little of who Cian was, his family have released a Summer of 2024 video capturing him doing what he did best: enjoying life, challenging himself (often for no reason at all), and making people laugh.

If the video brings a smile, please feel free to share it — it may brighten someone else’s day too.

Secretly, we hope the video helps raise awareness of Cian’s Foundation and the work we are doing. So, please do pass it on within your own networks if you wish.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Paul H and Kirsty Laverick for their incredible work producing and editing the video, and to Steve for linking everything seamlessly to the Foundation website. It has truly been a team effort

The Green Park Reading Half Marathon

26th March 2026

Will Brown, Tom Ord, Lewis Cartridge, George Wall, and Dhanush Karan who were at Reading University with Cian are running the Green Park Reading half marathon in Cian’s memory and in support of the Cian Everett Young Person’s Development Foundation.

The route starts at Green Park and takes the runners around the outskirts of the city of Reading. Whilst the course is relatively flat (maximum elevation is some 80 metres) it is still 13 miles long!!

If you want to show your support for Will, Tom, Lewis, George, and Dhanush donations and words of encouragement can be added on the event page that we have generated – just use the donate button below.

Reading University Alumni Volleyball Tournament

25th April 2026

After the success of the 2025 Alumni match Molly Redgrave, the President of Reading University’s volleyball squad, is arranging another Tournament in honour of Cian.

Last year’s tournament was heavily contested, with many post-graduate students returning to the university to play volleyball and to eat lots of cake! (both of which were favourite things for Cian to do).

London Landmarks Half Marathon

12th April 2026

Lia Breeze-Jones is running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for the Sepsis Trust for her Auntie, and in remembrance of Cian.

Lia met Cian at Reading University through a shared contact, Sam, who also introduced them both to the University of Reading’s Finance Society.

Lia becoming Editor-in-Chief, and Cian became Politics Director.

The half marathon course is well known for being fast and flat, the energy of the crowds, its finish line celebrations, and its landmarks (Big Ben and St Paul’s Cathedral to the Tower of London, The Shard, and the London Eye).
